Build Character
Through the
Power of the
Outdoors

Positive Adventures specializes in outdoor multi day and overnight programs, using customized curriculum to help students build leadership skills and provide tools for social emotional learning (SEL). With a sterling record of safety, comprehensive risk management policies, and ongoing staff training, we will provide a trip of a lifetime for students and teachers alike.

With a staff of over 30 seasoned educators and a passion for experiential learning and environmental stewardship, Positive Adventures is at the top of the class when it comes to Outdoor Education. Staff are background checked, CPR/First Aid certified, and belay certified. Teams are led by senior staff possessing Wilderness First Responder certifications, American Mountain Guide Association certifications, advanced degrees, and medical training.

Overnight Retreats

Overnight retreats offer life-changing opportunities for groups of students to explore outdoor destinations near and far. Students become immersed in a new environment, discover their character & strengths in unique ways, and build lasting bonds with their peers and teachers that carry over to the classroom.

Give your students the opportunity to learn about the natural world, try new things, and gain independence with an overnight outdoor education experience.

Day Programs

We also offer day programming for clients on school campuses, ropes courses, or at parks and natural spaces nearby. This can be a memorable experience for students to come together in new ways, strengthen their bond as a class, and expand their relationships with each other. These programs can be developed for single or multiple days, and focus on team building, environmental education, adventure activities, & more.

Wilderness Programs

Is your school community ready to endure challenge and growth together in a rugged environment? Our wilderness programs in breathtaking backcountry settings allow groups of students to extend themselves outside their comfort zones and truly understand what it means to develop a working team dynamic. These “Expedition Style” trips enable student participants, chaperones, and Positive Adventures field staff to all contribute to the well-being of the entire group and actively participate in common duties. Our field staff lead by example and support students as they step into exciting new leadership roles each day.
