Rock Climbing With University Christian Church

It doesn’t take a very careful examination of UCC’s Facebook page to discover why Positive Adventures trip leaders Russell Clark, Brian Baez and Megan Gneiting returning from Mission Gorge this October simply loved having the pleasure of the church’s company.  Whether it’s building a brand new yellow house in Tijuana or organizing service projects to help care for San Francisco’s homeless population, University Christian Church and its members have exemplified through their works their commitment to providing “a place for each person to experience wholeness in a fragmented world.”

Our American Mountain Guides Association certified guides set up two routes for UCC’s incredible group of young people to try during an afternoon of fun and sun.  Each climber found that, through perseverance and hard work, getting to the top of the rock was easier than they thought.  Once at the top, successful climbers were able to relive their favorite super-spy sequence by repelling back down to the ground.

Now you see ’em…

Now you don’t!

Almost to the top!

Morale is high!

They made it!

And cue thumbs up montage:

The “traditional” San Diego area fall weather provided the perfect backdrop for learning about goal setting, perseverance, and discovering that most everything worth doing will require dedication, effort, and tons of enthusiasm.

We had a ton of fun working with UCC, and we’re looking forward to working with them in the future.  For more information about the church, please visit their website or “like” them on Facebook.

Admiring the time and energy you put into your blog and in depth information you
present. It’s nice to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same
unwanted rehashed material. Wonderful read! I’ve bookmarked
your site and I’m adding your RSS feeds to my Google account.
