Outdoor Education Logistics Coordinator

Position Overview

Positive Adventures has an immediate need for a part-time (up to 25 hrs a week), extremely organized Program Logistics Coordinator for our Outdoor Education Team.

Our Outdoor Education department is growing rapidly and we anticipate this position turning into a full time administrative and logistics opportunity. This position would be ideal for an outdoor enthusiast looking to break into the education field or a season facilitator looking to transition into a steadier office role.

Our ideal candidate would be a great fit with our company culture, driven, detail oriented and someone who likes to work had and have fun during the process!

The Program Logistics Coordinator (Logi) must be a quick learner, detail oriented, self-motivated/managed and can manage multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines. 

We are looking for someone who works well with the team but that can easily transition to work independently, often times anticipating and completing tasks prior to them being assigned.   

This is a physical position where the person being employed must be able to lift up to 50lbs consistently through a given work day.

Job Responsibilities

  • Reports primarily to the Assistant Program Coordinator
  • Responsible for all all pre and post Outdoor Education program logistics including:
    • Program Pack-Outs and Gear Organization
      • Loading and unloading trucks of gear for programs
      • Creating program pack out lists and pulling the necessary gear
      • Purchasing food for programs
    • Program De-rig of all gear to its proper place
    • Site Permitting & Vendor Reservations as assigned
    • Program specific paperwork
      • Organization of participant paperwork including medical and waiver forms
      • Organization of program plans, and staff/client paperwork

Necessary Minimum Qualifications

  • Personality fit with our team and belief in our core values!
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to commit to a set schedule of 2-4 days a week for March – May (days of the week vary)
  • Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in a warehouse
  • Basic computer skills (mac preferred)
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to lift up to 45lbs.

Additional Qualifications (though not necessary)

  • Prior experience working in the Outdoor Education field
  • Administrative Skills in excel and word
  • Own laptop is preferred
