Ground-based initiatives are a series of portable team-building exercises that are fun, interactive, and experiential, while promoting learning and growth through group participation and discussion.
Your group will be taken through a sequence of initiatives that become more challenging as the team learns and develops new skills.
Develop a higher level of trust within your team. Low ropes courses involve moving across a series of ropes that are a foot or two off the ground. While safe, the course will allow students to confront their own fears and to learn to rely on other team members to spot them and help them through the course.
Learn to share ideas freely with the respect of the entire team. This program encourages youths to take risks and share their opinions with their peers. By solving problems combining each others ideas and encouraging each other with support, youths will be able to bypass self-doubt and gain the confidence they need to succeed in these challenges and in life.
Discover a value for one another and for contributions to the team. Group-based initiatives require that team members work together to overcome ground-based obstacles. Without working together, the team members cannot succeed at the task. In this environment, team members can learn that no idea need go unspoken and no idea should be discarded out of hand, lessons that they can take back with them to great effect in their daily lives.
Experience a celebration of both team and individual accomplishments. When the various challenges are completed successfully, all team members feel a sense of individual accomplishment combined with a knowledge that they could not have reached their goals without the aid of their teammates.
